LOCATION

History

Agios Sostis takes its name from the small island located near the coast and that was previously connected to Zakynthos up to 1633, when it was cut off as a result of the great earthquake.

As part of Laganas Bay, it is under the protection of the National Marine Park of Zakynthos, which was established to protect and preserve rare animal and plant habitats.

Attractions

Agios Sostis has a variety of options for its guests. Charming restaurants, traditional tavernas and elegant bars with large gardens for relaxation, carefree summer nights by the sea, walks in the perennial olive groves, where you can admire olive trees that are nothing short of natural sculptures; these are but a few of the options in the area.

Beach

If you choose to swim, wear a mask and you may even encounter the famous Caretta-Caretta turtle, coming to the golden sands of Laganas to bury their eggs.
